Empowering Creativity in the Digital Creative Industry through Digital-Based Higher Education
We extend our deepest gratitude to God Almighty, for by His grace, IMDE (Institut Media Digital Emtek) has continued to grow and thrive for 25 years. Established in 1998, this academy, under the auspices of Yayasan Indosiar, evolved from ATKI (Akademi Teknologi Komunikasi dan Informasi) to ATVI (Akademi Televisi Indonesia). ATVI has been a pioneer as “the true broadcasting campus”, producing 1,688 competent Diploma-3 graduates in media production and journalism, who are now spread across Indonesia and internationally. Continuous quality improvements have been made, including the introduction of Applied Bachelor’s Degree programs in July 2022.
Under the umbrella of Emtek Group, ATVI as an educational entity will elevate its status to an institute in 2024 under the name IMDE (Institut Media Digital Emtek), adding three Bachelor’s Degree programs:
Bachelor of Digital Business
Bachelor of Film, Television, and Media Studies
Bachelor of Performing Arts
This initiative is part of Emtek Group’s support and contribution towards Indonesia Emas 2045 (Golden Indonesia 2045), aiming to develop outstanding human resources and improve the quality and accessibility of education in Indonesia as a key pillar of national development.
With campuses located at Indosiar and SCTV Tower, as well as in Sentul (Bogor, Wes Java), IMDE offers engaging learning facilities directly connected to the related business and industry. Supported by a teaching team that combines academic and industry expertise, IMDE presents an Edutaintment Concept and Creative / Productive andragogy tailored to modern learning needs.

Established in 1998, the Emtek Digital Media Institute (IMDE) is a private higher education institution under the auspices of PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi (EMTEK), PT Surya Citra Media Tbk, and affiliated with Indosiar, SCTV, and Moji TV. Originally named the Academy of Communication and Information Technology (ATKI), the campus later became the Indonesian Television Academy (ATVI), and is now widely known as IMDE.
IMDE is committed to producing television and multimedia professionals with integrity and professionalism to meet the challenges of the ever-evolving industry, in line with technological developments. Today, IMDE has become the best choice for enhancing competency in multimedia and digital content for future careers.
